Anti-choice Orange County Supervisors make a 5-0 moral vote against Planned Parenthood On March 10, the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted to suspend Planned Parenthood's health education funding. On April 28, they resinstated our contract, but canceled all future tobacco settlement revenues funding for health education. Last year alone, PPOSBC saw nearly 60,000 community members in our health centers -- more than 39,000 for our health education programs. Support the programs and services that build healthier communities by preventing unintended pregnancies and STIs, and teach Orange County's young adults to make responsible, informed decisions about their sexual health. 2. Make your voice heard. Read the articles and blogs in the local media about Planned Parenthood's contract with the Orange County Coalition of Community Clinics and comment with your opinion. Call, e-mail, or comment online to let County Supervisors know you're disappointed by their vote, and that you support Planned Parenthood and the health education services we provide under the Tobacco Settlement Funds (TSR) and immunization contracts.
